ATC, founded in 1973 by designer Billy Woodman, builds what can quite accurately be described as the world's finest monitors in both active and passive formats, with a similarly-impeccable line of stand-alone preamplifiers and power amplifiers to drive

Billy's intense, multi-decade career study of monitor acoustics, and the causes of monitor reproduction distortion, led to the development and implementation of his own custom-designed solutions in a full line of perfectly-functioning finished production monitors, which, combined with his expectation of perfection in the aesthetic presentation of his products, has created what are simply the best quality, best performance and best value monitors money can buy, in every sense.ATC products are all entirely hand-built, with the exclusive use of components which are also all designed and built in-house, meaning that literally every individual manufactured component, and then every complete ATC monitor itself, is designed, manufactured, assembled, finished, inspected and matched in ATC's own shop, by their own staff craftsmen, creating a product of unparalleled high performance and consistency. The technical result? ATC's distortion figures are, measureably, virtually zero, across the audio spectrum, input to output, which allows them to deliver an essentially perfect reproduction of any program signal fed to them.
 For the discerning tracking or mix engineer, this means that any ATC monitor set offers a level of reproduction perfection in a stereo or surround audio monitoring situation like no other, with far less listener fatigue, and with a level of realism that simply needs to be experienced to be appreciated in the least.
